Dreamers Travel to D.C. to Celebrate MLK Day

To celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dreamer Service Day this January, New York Dreamers traveled to Washington, D.C. to visit the new MLK Memorial and tour parts of the city.  Their first stop was a soup kitchen, So Others May Eat (SOME).  Dreamers had collected non-perishable foods to donate to this DC-based service organization.  

Next, Dreamers visited the new MLK Memorial, walked to the Lincoln Memorial to see the site of the "I Have A Dream" speech, and finished their day at the American History Smithsonian Museum where they saw a performance of some of Dr. King's most influential sermons and speeches.
